Versatile 2-1/2 inch motifs can be combined in countless ways. Tanktops, slip dresses, purses and totes, dresser scarves, bedspreads, baby blankets, chair sets, etc.
Materials:
Fingering weight yarn
Susan Bates "D" (3.25mm), "C" or "00"
steel to gauge.
Motif:
Chain 8, join to form ring
Rnd 1: Ch 5 (counts as first tr plus ch 1),in ring -- tr,
ch 2, tr, ch 1, tr, ch3, (tr, ch 1, tr, ch 2, tr, ch1, tr, ch
3) 3 times; join in top of first tr.
Rnd 2: Sl st in the next ch 1 sp, (ch 1, sc) in the same
sp, work 3 sc in each ch 2 sp, 5 sc in each ch 3 sp, and 1 sc
in each ch 1 space around; join to first sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, work sc evenly around, with
3 sc in the center st of each corner; joint to first sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 4 (counts as first dc, ch 1, sk 1),work (dc,
ch 1, sk 1) around with (dc, ch 3, dc) in each corner; join to
3rd chain of ch 4.
Variations:
Motifs can be worked in multiple colors.

Size of finished motif can be increased
by repeating Rounds 3-4 to desired size.
